prim20602:How to change the WBS value for a group of activities.

To change WBS via Cut and Paste:

1.  Organize the layout by WBS.  (View, Group and Sort, Group by WBS.)

2.  Highlight the activities whose WBS is to be changed.  To select multiple activities, hold the Ctrl button down when selecting each activity.

3.  Go to Edit, Cut.

4.  Click on the WBS band of the desired values.

5.  Go to Edit, Paste.

Activities pasted into the grouping band for a particular WBS will assume that value.

To change WBS via Global Change:

1.  Go to Tools, Global Change, New.

2.  Define selection criteria for the activities to be changed in the “If” section, such as:

Where:  WBS  equal  Level 1.1

3.  Define change to be made to selected activities in the “Then” section, such as:

Then:  WBS  =  Level 1.2

4.  Click “Change” run the Global Change and “Commit Changes” to accept changes as they appear in the report.

To change WBS via Fill Down:

1.  Add a column for WBS in the Activities View layout.

2.  Select one activity with the desired WBS value, and then Ctrl + click each activity whose WBS value is to be changed.

3.  Right-click and select “Fill-down”.

All highlighted activities will assume the WBS value of the first activity selected.
