Updating Activity Expenses is not working as expected when using the Subtract Rule |
Status: Reviewed |
Version(s): 4.0, 4.1 |
Problem: | Using the Subtract Rule and an Activity Expense , At Complete Cost is updated instead of Remaing Costs when a user sets Actual Cost to zero. EXAMPLE: 1. At the Project Level, set Subtract Actual from At Complete rule on the Calculations tab 2. Create an activity and assign an expense 3. Put an Actual Cost > 0 on the Expense 4. Notice Remaing Costs = At Complete Cost – Actual Cost 5. Now reset Actual Cost = 0 6. Notice At Complete is updated instead of Remaining NOTE: This will only occur when there is an Actual Start and/or Actual Finish on the activity. If the activity has not Started, then the Subtract Rule will still be enforced when a user resets Actual Cost = 0.
