Understanding and using Activity Codes.
Fix:
The following guide walks users through the steps to understand the basics of, and use, Activity Codes.
Activity codes can be used to organize / group activities in a project according to their respective phase, responsibility, location, etc…
Define Activity Codes
Please reference pages 178 – 182 of the SureTrak User’s Guide:“Creating an Activity Codes Dictionary” & “Defining Code Values”
Click: Define, Activity Codes to open the Activity Codes dictionary.
The ‘Codes’ are the general categories in which ‘Values’ are listed. Ex: Phase, Responsibility, Area, Building, etc..
The ‘Values’ are the specific: phases / responsibilities / areas / buildings / etc.. that will be assigned to individual activities. Ex: Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, …, Lou, James, Brad, …., Building A, Building B, Building 3, etc..

If necessary, adjust the ‘Length’ value. This determines the maximum number of characters allowed in a value name, within the respective code.
In the ‘Value’ column, list each of the values for the code highlighted above (in the ‘Codes’ section).
