Changing a resource’s hourly rate back to zero ("0") does not cancel the respective cost / revenue.
Status: Reviewed
Version(s): 3.0, 3.0a, 3.0b, 3.0c

Problem: Why doesn’t the cost cancel once the rate is changed to zero?
Problem: Changing a resource’s hourly rate back to zero (“0″) does not cancel the respective cost / revenue.
Problem: Activity cost / revenue does not reset to zero when a resource rate is changed to zero from Resource Dictionary.
Fix:

SureTrak behaves this way by design; it is to protect customers from accidentally changing cost / revenue per hour to “0″.

Workaround:

  1. Modify the layout.  Group By ‘Resource’.

  2. Enable either “Actual Cost to Date” and “Cost at Completion” (OR) “Revenue to Date” and “Revenue at Completion”.

  3. Use the copy cell / paste cell technique to propagate a “0″ for the resource in question, in the relevant columns (enabled in Step 2).
