Problem: Primavera Setup cannot advance after typing in the Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator name and Password during database creation on a Windows 2003 server with SP1
Problem: How to Create a Primavera MS SQL or Oracle Database on Windows 2003 with SP1 (service pack 1)
Fix: To successfully create a Primavera Database when running the Primavera Setup utility OR running ConfigAsst.exe separately on Windows 2003 server with Service pack 1 installed – Add ConfigAsst.exe to the list of DEP excluded applications:

Steps:


1. Right Click My Computer, Properties, go to the Advanced Tab,Click settings under Performance section.


2. Select Data Execution Prevention.


3. The default setting is “Turn on DEP for All progams and services except those I select:”


4. Under the exclusion box, click Add and Browse to ConfigAsst.exe off your CD drive. ConfigAsst.exe is located on CD1 under the Install, Database folder.



5. Click Apply, OK – You may have to Reboot your Server.


6. Run Primavera Setup OR ConfigAsst.exe again.


NOTE:


To determine if you do have Service Pack 1 installed on your Windows 2003 server, go to Start, Run and type in, WINVER:
